Meet the Candidate!
Hello! If this is your first time hearing about our candidate, Tony Mantello, welcome!
Getting to know Tony Mantello:
Growing up Catholic, helping others and civic duty were a big part of his upbringing. The Mantello family has volunteered throughout the years in a variety of organizations: both civic and faith-based. His commitment to civic duty and helping other is why he decided to run for office.
The grandson of Italian immigrants, Tony graduated from SUNY Brockport. His work ethic was apparent as he double majored while holding down two jobs. After graduating, Tony worked as a stage manager at various theaters in NY and obtained his Actors’ Equity union card. As an AEA stage manager he was the liaison between management and labor and organized the production staff into a cohesive team. Tony and his family moved to the mid-Hudson Valley in 2009 and immediately fell in love with the area and chose to raise their family here. Without any union theaters nearby, he switched careers and again decided to double major, obtaining an Associate in Massage Therapy and Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, while holding down a job. He has been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for nearly ten years and has been working as an adjunct professor for nearly 5 years. As an LMT he has worked with a diverse clientele. Many are, or have been, professional athletes. Working with athletes he was integrated as a member of their medical and health team to create coordinated treatment plans to help players recover from a variety of injuries and increase their athletic performance.
When elected, Tony will put his dedicated work ethic to work for YOU, focusing on infrastructure, jobs, and continuing to make Shawangunk a great town to live in!
